Trehek Mar 16, 2014 @ 2:55am. The Long Distance skill is important to drivers because of the way they are paid, X euros initial + Y euros / km. If they happen to pick a very short distance trip, the initial fee will be greater tthan the payment for the job, and they will end up losing you money. This is why hired drivers will struggle early on. As soon as the start to drive long (er) deliveries they wil bring in amounts like 10.000 in 2 days or more. Some of my drivers are making like 60.000 over a 4 day drive.
