I have a problem with starting my 1991 2.5 turbo diesel motorhome it turns over on turning the key but it won't start -wiring has been checked out -ok -could be the glowplug -it has only ONE!-does anyone know about these glowplugs? -been told it is a special one & could cost 75.00+!!-surely this

What resistance did you measure for the glow plugs should be somewhere between 0.5-1.5. OEM ones are 1.4 ohms. Dont forget to check the meter lead resistance first and subtract that from the reading. Measure the resistance via the relay socket to rule out wiring. I have a motor home based on a Ducato 2.5TDi from 1997. Driving it today the glow plug light on the dash board started turning on and off and I can hear the glow plug timer ticking. The temperature outside was about 20C/68F and the enging was warm when this started so I need some help finding out what causes this problem.
The engine is a 2.2 Transit engine by the looks and is a 2.2 JTD 4HV. The fault codes I have are: P1304 - Pilot Injector Learn. P0683 - Pre-Heater Module feedback. I can't see anything wrong with the wiring from the glow plug relay to the ecu so maybe a faulty relay. The P1304 though has me stumped. The van has about 45000 miles on it.

Having injector issues, cranks over but no diesel going in, have found no power getting to the injectors. is there a relay Location and label list?
